What are Dentures?

Dentures are used when all of the natural teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. Dentures are designed to restore the ability to chew and speak properly, improve esthetics, and provide support for the lips and cheeks, which can be affected by tooth loss. Conventional dentures are placed in the mouth after the remaining teeth have been removed and the tissues have healed, and immediate (or “healing”) dentures are made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed.
